Ashar Nafis is the founder and principal CPA of Ashar CPA, a licensed public accounting firm serving businesses and individuals throughout Naperville and DuPage County. Ashar holds active CPA credentials from both the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and CPA Canada, bringing a depth of cross-border accounting and regulatory experience to every engagement.
With a background spanning attest and review engagements, taxation, and business advisory services, Ashar founded Ashar CPA to deliver the technical rigor of a large firm with the personal accessibility that DuPage County business owners deserve. The firm is enrolled in the AICPA Peer Review Program and maintains all required continuing professional education under Illinois standards.

Ashar CPA holds an active Licensed CPA credential issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) — the only Illinois credential that authorizes attest services including audits, reviews, and examinations. Registered CPAs are explicitly prohibited from attest work under Illinois law.

Ashar CPA is enrolled in the AICPA Peer Review Program — a mandatory quality oversight program in which an independent CPA reviews our engagements to verify they meet AICPA professional standards. Our peer review report is publicly available through the AICPA.

Our licensed CPAs maintain 120 hours of continuing professional education every 3 years, including required ethics and sexual harassment prevention hours, per IDFPR requirements — current cycle ending September 30, 2027.
Ashar CPA carries professional liability (Errors & Omissions) insurance on all engagements — protecting our clients and maintaining the standard of care expected of a licensed CPA firm.
